I know it is a blurry picture, but Mac ate crablegs for the first time tonight at Sliders by the beach. He really liked them. OK, it was probably the butter that he liked, but he ate them and wasn't afraid to hold them!!
To be honest, my first crableg experience was last night here at our apartment. Nathan, my gourmet husband, fixed crablegs, shrimp and fresh veggies in his new steamer. His brother Brett convinced him that the steamer was a piece of cookery that was essential for him, and I am glad Nathan took his suggestion to heart. Mmmmm Mmmmm good. I was amazed at how much I liked the crab. To be honest, Nathan's crab and shrimp was more superbly cooked than Sliders. Theirs was a bit overcooked. I am biased, however. :)

To all you gourmet cooks out there - a Holland grill does great crab legs. You add water & use the grill as a steamer. No fish stink in the house. Emily & Nathan, you are going to be very healthy eaters soon. We had our fav tuna and mussels at Bone Fish tonight. Glad to see that Mac enjoys delicasies, too. I remember Nathan & Eric's first oysters.
Tell Nathan to get that steamer ready for our visit. I love crab legs! ;)
Mmmmmm CRAB LEGS! The ol' Red Lobster just cannot compare to fresh crab legs! I am biased towards my hubby's cooking too! He ruins me for eating out sometimes. Hey! Our guys should get together and cook us some seafood...and make us some drinks...and clean our houses...and... ;)
I forgot to mention that I had my first raw oyster too. Nathan and Holly "fixed it up" for me. Nothing like a cold booger on a cracker with some cocktail sause and horseradish! The steamer will be ready for you all when you get here. Nicki, bring Dan along and maybe we can have a cook off.
